Just dropping a short line to tell you about surviving necrotizing fasciitis I'm just learning how to work a computer at this time. I was in 3 different hospitals for a total time of 6 months. I do not remember much from the time I fell out of bed until i woke up in hospital about 1 week later. I was told I was complaining about a scratch on my arm and did not want to do anything but sleep. I fell out of bed and family said that's it and took me to the hospital where I went into cardiac arrest and almost had my arm amputated. I was on a "wound vac" for 6 months until I went home for 2 months of home health. I know there are pictures of my arm because every one was coming in (drs. and nurses) and looking and taking pictures like I was some kind of freak. I refused to look -they keep asking me to look and look and look but I have no stomach for that sort of thing. I am happy to say I have FULL mobility of my arm. I live in Arlington Heights, Illinois. My email (like I said just learning) in a class and have to go to the library to use the computer (I try to go at least once a week email address is if you wish to reply or for any additional information.
